Young Glory 20/21 🥈

Young Glory is Advertising’s Tour de France for young creatives spanning
8 briefs over 8 months and is judged by 8 global creative leaders. It is a
competition that rewards creative consistency.

Up against 91 creative teams from over 18 countries, I partnered up with
conceptual artist, Amelia O’Connell, to take on the challenge and we finished
in second place :-)

Here’s a collection of what we came up with over the last couple of months.

Round 1: “Get the Vape Off Your Back”
Brief: Leverage on COVID-19 to convince Gen Z-ers that getting the vape
off their back is not just good for them, but for society as a whole.

Round 2: Help a Local Business Near You
Brief: Find a business near you and improve its chances to, not only survive,
but also thrive during this pandemic period.

Round 3: Drink Responsibly. Don’t Bottle Your Feelings.
Brief: Help people to not lean on alcohol but to speak up about their mental
health and encourage a responsibility towards their drinking habits.

Round 4: VERO
Brief: Come up with an idea that would get people to sign up for VERO
– an ad-free, algorithm free social network.

Round 6: Diversify the Great Outdoors
Brief: Come up with an idea that increases Black and minority participation
in the great outdoors.

Round 7: New Normal Events
Brief: Design an attendee experience for an event of your choice in a way that
encourages interaction between IRL attendees andonline participants, without
compromising either’s experience.

Round 8: Protest Safely in Russia
Brief: Think of a safe, non-political way to help Russians materialize their protest energy.
